It seems mother nature decided to dump an entire winter’s worth of snow on NS in just a few days!
On Sunday we had maybe an inch of snow covering the ground. Then a city-crippling snow storm moved in on Sunday night – the city was practically shut down for most of two days.
This picture was taken in the middle of the storm on Monday. Those are drifts so not necessarily indicative of snowfall amount, but still – from an inch to this in a few hours is pretty impressive!
These two can’t be happier… … and this is one of the reasons. The snowplow pushes a lot of snow from the court directly in front of the house, which makes for awesome play time! Check out those smiles!
Eleanor’s three-year-old legs still have a bit of trouble getting around in this much snow, but she still loves to get outside!
Yup. I guess we know which way the wind was blowing. Then another storm rolled in on Thursday morning, cancelling school again and adding almost another foot of fresh snow. Hooray! On Friday we dug a massive tunnel into the even bigger snowbank at the end of the court. I’m not sure the picture does it justice, but the snowbank is so thick Emery had to remove the snow from the middle of the tunnel … my arms just weren’t long enough!
I know this much snow makes it difficult for so many, but it does nothing but please me! Winter is just so much more fun with snow on the ground! Who wants to play outside on the grass in their ski pants?
