Growing Out On A Limb

Duncan’s Cove

Last weekend we had the most special of visitors here and decided to go check out a new hiking spot – Duncan’s cove.

It’s off herring cove road, so a bit of a jaunt to get there.  And the start of the trail is a bit off from the parking spot, but we managed to find our way and wow, was it worth it.  IMG_6873

It reminds me a lot of the high head trail in prospect bay – a rocky trail along the sea.  It’s a long trail but we didn’t go too far – the boys tend to zig zag all over the rocks rather than follow a straight line.  That’s fine by me – it just means there’s lots of trail left for another day.  I’ve read you can see whales from here too, at the right time of year. IMG_6878

It sure is fun to do these things with these two!

The boys love jumping along the rocks but it was pretty hard-going for eleanor.  She doesn’t yet have the footing that the boys do.  IMG_6895
