Winter campfire at Land of laziness lake

We have been to Land of Laziness lake before, but we recently discovered that we can park at the end of a street in our subdivision and it is just a few minute walk to the same spot, which is nice – the long walk in is welcome on some days but too much for the kids on others.

On this day, we took along winter supplies – stuff to make a campfire, hot chocolate in a thermos, and the fixings for s’mores.

The kids like to run across the wide open space of the lake, which was perfectly safe, of course … it’s a novelty, I suppose.  IMG_20150301_141628IMG_20150301_141742IMG_20150301_142235 IMG_20150301_142734 IMG_20150301_142820 I’m looking forward to seeing this place without the snow!
