Finally… what we’ve all been waiting for … our first decent snowfall in nova scotia!
Other people dislike it, dread it, curse it. I figure if it’s going to be winter and it’s going to be cold, there might as well be snow on the ground so you can get outside and have some fun in it!
We have been (not so) patiently waiting here. Moving closer to the ocean means a warmer climate and means, while scrolling by post after post in my newsfeed showing snow, snow, and more snow, I’ve been looking out the window at rain and the odd wet flurry.
On Sunday we got a couple of inches. It started as nice, fluffy snow. Eleanor was just amazed by it but she didn’t last long… she couldn’t get around real well and kept taking her mittens off (yes, that stage).
It rained all afternoon, which turned the snow into sticky snowman-making snow. Oliver loves making snowmen. It is always his idea. But the second we have it done he wants to drop-kick it. It must be a boy thing. Emery is keen too. He’s always a good helper. And then it warmed up and melted most of the snow overnight. It was short-lived but really nice while it lasted!
