Growing Out On A Limb

At home with Emery

Here are some recent pics of the mover and shaker we call Emery at 8.5 to 9 months.  He walks along the furniture like he was born doing it but he still hasn’t taken steps on his own.  Any day now.  No doubt.

No teeth yet, although that doesn’t stop everyone we see from commenting on the drool and chewing and being adamant that he has teeth breaking through.  They’ll come when they’re ready!

He loves following big brother around.  He is super cuddly after naps or when he needs consoling.  He is making many more noises lately and seems proud of the new ones.  He loves to see me smile.  He loves Oliver’s hugs and kisses.  He is super ticklish.  He is waking up at 5 or 5:30 am lately (which drives mommy crazy) but Oliver had this phase too so it will pass.

He’s a ray of sunshine!  I love this picture because this is his laid-back and smiley and “gotta go” personality.

He explores by touch.

He likes to play like big brother does but sometimes he gets himself into trouble!

< Brief intermission to mouth the chair >

Okay, now how am I supposed to get out of here?!
